2. IP ADDRESSES AND COOKIES

2.1 We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information to our advertisers. This is statistical data about our users’ browsing actions and patterns and does not identify any individual.

2.2 For the same reason as detailed on clause 2.1, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. 3. WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

4.3 If you are an existing customer, we will only contact you with information about goods and services similar to those which were the subject of a previous sale to you where we believe these will be of interest to you and so where we have a legitimate interest in doing so.

4.4 If you are not a customer, and where we permit selected third parties to use your data, we (or they) will contact you by electronic means only if you have given express consent to this.

4.6 We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in SW1). We may make use of the personal data we have collected from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers’ wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience.

For the purposes of this Privacy Policy, our ‘legitimate interests’ include the proper administration, monitoring and improvement of our business and our site, the provision of the marketing services, the promotion of our business including direct marketing and the maintenance of the goodwill and reputation of Activate BD Ltd, 48 Headlands, Kettering, NN15 7HR which includes the provision of excellent customer service and care.
